Suki Waterhouse revealed that the heart of her new album, Loveland, is its closing track, “Weirdo”, a tender love song about missing Robert Pattinson when they’re apart 🤍.
The song reflects on the whirlwind of their lives and careers, with lyrics like “You’re on set / Is that ancient Rome?” and “Dreams come true / But they take me far away from you.”
“It’s acknowledging that these big life moments are happening, and it’s this whirlwind that we’re on. But at the same time being like, ‘I haven’t brushed my teeth next to you for a long time,'” she says. “It isn’t about going, ‘This is horrible and the worst thing ever.’ It’s actually just being quite settled, and the strength of knowing that these things won’t be happening to us forever.”
for some reason the most romantic thing i can think of is someone saying your name. the way it's supposed to be said. early in the morning. late at night. mouth full of food. a whisper. in sob. in laughter. stuttering. idk there's something about it that means more to me.
My therapist told me: A lot of our explosive emotional reactions aren't actually a response to the present moment. They're a buildup of all the times we were in a similar dynamic and did not stand up for ourselves, use our voice, or express our emotions.
You should never be expected to be the bigger person when you didn't create the discomfort in the first place. Too many people cause the chaos, cross the line, then want you to swallow your feelings just to keep the peace.
Accountability matters. Being mature doesn't mean accepting disrespect or cleaning up messes you didn't make. Sometimes protecting your peace means standing firm and letting folks sit in the consequences of what they caused.
Everyone shut up I just learned a new word:
Eremition
(eh-ruh-mish-un)
The act of gradually fading from the lives of others, not out of malice, but a desire for solitude or renewal.
