@irene_silvera@letterboxd Letterboxd has a huge opportunity to become the new IMDb and in many ways has become that for my generation and younger. IMDb’s extremely frustrating forced mobile interface has kept me off for years unless I need very specific information like filming locations, etc.

@paulfeig Met him about five years ago when I was a theatre manager. A consummate professional and eccentric - couldn’t have been a nicer guy. He cared deeply about the performance, more than any artist I had met at that job.
My son is 15
I never bought him a pride onesie when he was a baby.
I never read him a book that had two moms as part of the storyline.
When he was little stores and businesses didn’t have LGBTQ+ displays and we didn’t celebrate pride month.
He was raised Catholic, and went to church.
Guess what? He is gay.
The rainbow won’t make your kids gay. They are born that way. A display in a store won’t make your kid trans, they are born that way.
If you don’t love and accept them for who they are, YOU are a shitty parent.
They haven’t failed, you have.
@redroomrantings I rarely whine about interface changes, but it’s so difficult to access information. Wikipedia has become a go to for access movie information.
What’s a movie where the cast — even down to one-scene and even one-line day players — was perfectly in sync? Just, everyone got the vibe and knew the assignment? These are my top three:
Oh, I have to be somewhere important in the morning for 7:00am and it takes me five minutes to get there? Better set an alarm for 6:00am and 6:05am and 6:10am despite the fact that I’ve never missed an alarm. Also, my brain will just wake me up at 5:53am.
Name an actor who may not always be the main character but always makes the movie they’re in better.
I will never not be excited when I see Olympia Dukakis’ name in the credits.
