New Radios in the stations purchased because of a grant that was secured by local No.1261 members. A grant committee that was well in place prior to the current fire chiefs arrival but the city nor the fire chief fail to recognize their efforts publicly.

Although others may try to take credit for them, let it be known that our members worked diligently to provide the public with these resources.

"We are having trouble locating the fire."
This is a common statement mentioned in several MAY-DAY and LODD incidents. Through proper thermal data interpretation, this can be prevented.
Identification of the following can assist firefighters with the following:
Convection currents can lead firefighters to the fire (Convection equals direction)
Convection current speed and height can indicate if they are in an exhaust or conditions are changing.
Colorization can provide information about superheated surfaces, hidden locations of fire, and areas that should be aggressively cooled.
Learn how to interpret thermal data on YOUR BRAND/MODEL of TIC. We have provided a free resource document to assist with this endeavor at our website.
