@ramsey49281649@cszabla Both have a lot of interest in defence and security. Good business school at Cranfield as well as engineering. Cranfield has a lot of contract R&D and commercialisation expertise.
@DrChrisGrocott It was always vulnerable because of high costs, its reliance on contract R&D and international recruitment. Not sure about the contract to run provision at Shrivenham.
@DrChrisGrocott To be fair, Cranfield has always relied on international students. I worked there over 30 years ago, and a lot of courses outside the School of Management had very few home students.
@YOSushi I can’t show you the receipt. My 15yo daughter didn’t get a paper one and rushed off as she was told they were busy when she queried it. I’ve just got a charge of £36.44 from my Apple Pay.
@YOSushi - you overcharged my 15yo daughter in Highcross today by adding on 3 drinks when she just ordered one. She got a refund for one. She queried it once but was then too scared to challenge it a second time in a very busy restaurant. Poor form.
@elisabethh32969@JennyAThatcher@savelibservices Yes. When you read about Christopher Clunis, it’s the same kind of history as the more recent three, and Anthony Williams of the train st*bbings.
@jdflynn@mfjlewis I’m British. The first thing my Anglican husband noticed was how all Catholics didn’t dress up for Mass in the way people did in his church. Attending Mass is part of everyday life, not a performative action.
I have deleted my original debunk of this story as it appears it is actually an amalgamation of 2 stories...
(Don't let anyone tell you I'm not prepared to be corrected!!)
So let's look at them individually:
We'll start with the photo...
So what's going on?
🧵1/12
@allanholloway Stoneygate ward now stretches from London Road down to the A47 so it includes South Highfields as well as the leafier part of Stoneygate. In 2024 GE an independent MP was elected on a pro-Palestine ticket. Protest voting isn’t that rare here - same happened during the Iraq War.
@StuartSmudge@jleicester6@PDRNHPUK@ElectionMapsUK Remember this is part of Leicester South that elected an independent pro-Palestine MP in 2024. The Greens ran a very heavily pro- Palestine campaign (it’s my ward).
@leicspolice this car has been sitting outside our house with the engine running for 20 minutes. The house now stinks of exhaust fumes. What can we do? I’m not very keen to ask a car full of lads to stop it.
@efrogwraig@Haggis_UK It’s not a cliché to state it, and it’s not endorsing much of what Thatcher and Churchill stood for. Farage and Reform are utterly un-British, and the British Right would have despised him and his mates.
