🎮 Resident Evil 4 Remake Gets a Co-op Mode Before Resident Evil 5 Remake.
A modder known as claybtv has announced the launch of an open beta for a co-op mode in Resident Evil 4 Remake.
The modification, called Multiplayer Mod, allows two players to experience the entire campaign together. According to the developer, the mod synchronizes enemies, story events, doors, switches, alarms, and many other gameplay elements between two separate game instances in real time.
From a technical standpoint, it's a remarkable achievement. Resident Evil 4 Remake was originally designed as a single-player experience, meaning that creating stable synchronization between two players required overcoming numerous complex challenges at the engine level.
The mod is currently in beta testing, and players may encounter performance issues, animation glitches, and other bugs. The developer is already working on fixes through ongoing updates.
🤔 Perhaps the most interesting part of this story isn't the mod itself, but the community's reaction to it. This is the first fully featured co-op project built for a Resident Evil title on the RE Engine, allowing players to experience nearly the entire campaign together from start to finish.
In many ways, the project highlights the continued demand for cooperative gameplay within modern Resident Evil titles. The positive response it has received may be further evidence that there is still significant demand for cooperative experiences within the Resident Evil franchise.
I love the key jingle in Marathon. Aside from sounding cool, it is quite literally a dinner bell that alerts the entire lobby to “come and get it.”
The thrill of trying to locate and steal the goods, or get out before the entire lobby descends on your location is absolute peak
Bill C-22 forces tech companies to give the RCMP and CSIS access to your data WITHOUT A WARRANT.

1.3 MILLION PEOPLE ASKED THE EU TO STOP COMPANIES FROM DELETING GAMES THEY PAID FOR.
THE ANSWER WAS NO.
The "Stop Killing Games" initiative wanted one thing: when publishers pull the plug, don't let them remotely destroy copies people already bought.
The European Commission's official response:
- It will not require publishers to keep games playable - says forcing them would go too far
- Reason given: publishers' copyright and IP rights come first. Your purchase comes second.
- The solution: a voluntary code of conduct, developed together with the same industry that kills games
- Plus an awareness campaign reminding you of the consumer rights you supposedly already have
1.3 million signatures. Years of work. Multiple hearings.
And the part that says everything: according to the campaign, Ubisoft got a seat at a closed-door meeting with the Commission before the decision. The 1.3 million people who signed did not.
Publishers can still brick your purchase whenever they feel like it.
If buying still isn't owning, then at least now it's official.
