Friends, my son asked me to reach out to you for help for one of his commanders
The commander’s personal vehicle, used daily for essential unit support, was damaged in a recent accident and requires repairs
It was essential for transporting soldiers to medical appointments, documents, and supplies
This commander was wounded 3 times in heavy fighting and now serves in a rear unit
He can't afford the repairs on his own
That’s why we are asking for help
If we come together, we can help this specific person in a very difficult situation
I understand this may seem like an unusual request, and I realize it might feel inappropriate to some
But in reality, this is a serious setback
My son is very distressed and wants to help

Some of you may know that our dear friend Hercules @AKCHercules had an acute attack. He is currently home and has had his ultrasound. There are 3 large masses. Surgery is not an option. There may be other options. We are waiting for pathology. #SaveHercules

HercDad is a good friend. He helps us all and has never asked for help. He’s going to need our help. Hercules does have insurance, but there are co-pays, caps and items not covered. HercDad had to reduce his employment to be the primary caregiver for his father. Money is tight.

It is my honor to sponsor a fundraiser which we will launch next week when we have the rest of the invoices and a plan.
I have already seen the preliminary invoices. We spoke today at length today about details and possibilities. Will you help me help them?

🐾🫎 Oh look, my baby brother Kenji the Giant Mooseweiler is out here in the parking lot “training” like he’s not 80% flailing moose legs and 20% derpy golden retriever brain 🐾😂

Weaving around pylons with his dinner-plate paws, sits that actually held for once (miracle status: unlocked), and call fronts that were... vaguely in the same province as straight. I’m just over here cackling: “Bless this chaotic walking pork roast, he’s really out here attempting big boy rally skills with all the grace of a moose on roller skates.” 🤣❤️

For the non-dog nerds: CKC Novice Rally Obedience is a fun, sign-guided team adventure with heeling, sits, some flashy turns, and maneuvers like pylon weaves and spirals. Points get docked for crooked sits, slow responses, and any time the leash gets tight. And you can't eat the judge. It's the perfect starter level for oversized puppies like my giant moose baby to learn to work around major distraction like a couple hundred dogs and crowds of humans. But fair warning! It levels up HARD. Advanced is off leash and includes a jump and food/toy distractions, Excellent adds things like moving downs and stands with the handler continuing on and giving cues from a distance, and Master level? That’s where the real chaos legends earn their stripes (ask me how I know 😏).

Yep, your girl Chesnyy has her Master Rally title and has been named Top Rally Obedience Rottweiler in Canada TWICE. No pressure, Kenji… just don’t turn the trial into a full-on moose meltdown and embarrass the family bloodline, okay big guy?

We’re hoping to get this oversized disaster into a real trial later this summer if he can manage to fit his ego through the in gate. 😂

Who else is out there training a furry ball of chaos on paws? Drop your funny training fails, wins, or “what the fluff is my dog doing?” moments below! I need the laughs (and moral support) while I supervise this future master... or magnificent moose-flop!
