@Shizcrey At best, they're willfully ignorant. At worst it's the equivalent of someone standing in front of your burning house talking about renters insurance with a box of matches in their hand.
The Democratic Party elite & its pundits told you:
- A freshman senator named Barack Obama could never be elected president
- Hillary Clinton was electable
- Donald Trump could never be elected
- Kamala Harris was the most electable option
- Zohran Mamdani was not electable
@_LarryJ_ Because it's the same people freaking out about this who freak out about anything to the Left of letting Jeff Bezos hunt his employees for sport.
Despite widespread voter opposition to the war in Gaza, seven Democratic senators voted against a resolution to block arms sales to Israel:
1. Chuck Schumer, recieved $6.5M from Israeli lobby
2. John Fetterman, recieved $1.9M from Israeli lobby
3. Richard Blumenthal, recieved $1.6M from Israeli lobby
4. Chris Coons, recieved $1.7M from Israeli lobby
5. Catherine Cortez-Masto, recieved $3.1M from Israeli lobby
6. Jacky Rosen, recieved $7.6M from Israeli lobby
7. Kirsten Gillibrand, recieved $3.2M from Israeli lobby
Midterms are coming up; make sure you support the people primarying establishment politicians.
I'm helping to lead a group of Senate Democrats who are planning to force a vote - every single week the Senate is in session - to end the war in Iran. We have that right under the Senate rules, and we are going to keep putting Republicans on record supporting this insane war.
@ArtsyMarx1st@Techno_Jack Well, there was that one guy. Not sure how Terry was able to fly, or for what reason he was doing that, but...it was a problem. Lol
A measles outbreak in South Carolina (993 cases, 20 hospitalizations, 5 months) cost an estimated $35.5M- about 6.7% of the state public health budget!
Vaccinating the same group? Just $66K–$134K. Every $1 spent on vaccines could’ve saved $536.
Prevention isn’t just smarter- it’s dramatically cheaper. Put another way, more measles outbreaks means higher taxes - for everyone. 🤷🏽♂️

This has got to be one of the dumbest takes I have seen in a long time. We need to nominate someone with a few things A) a history of making government actually work for everyday people B) evidence of moral leadership on controversial issues like Gaza, abortion, guns C) a vision for a post Trump America that makes people actually feel hope for the future D) has stood up to special interests/corporations and fought corruption.
Whoever answers that call will be the best. Americans want someone who can get shit done, fight corruption and give them a sense of hope that our country is going in the right direction.
Bonus points if you have good relationships in the Senate and/or have won in a purple state
The fucking @TheDemocrats do not deserve to win the midterms just by sitting by and letting Trump commit war crimes and drag the entire world into the abyss.
Do something, you absolutely useless and worthless cowards.
@snacklesbian Does it include Fox Mulder, who probably should have a carve-out because he is objectively an unhinged lunatic, and is therefore innocent by reason of insanity?
Just rewatched T2 - the most unrealistic part of the film wasn't the time travel or the robots, it was the tech executive who isn't a narcissist & is willing to give up personal riches when he learns that trying to profit off self-aware AI will destroy the entire world.
A math prodigy was accepted to Harvard at age 15 for what could have been a lifetime of achievement.
But after living in the wilderness in Montana and writing a prescient manifesto about industrial society, his life would drastically change due to packages he sent in the mail.
