When you have Jeremy Swayman who you do and do not keep as the backup does not matter.. bussi wasn’t taking swaymans job. Happy for him! let’s come back to earth bruins fans @NHLBruins
Yep.
Look, I like Bussi and wish he got a shot. That said, there's a little bit of revisionist history when it comes to where he was at the end of his time here.
The lesson from the bussi situation isn’t how could you not keep this guy around to be the backup!! No No it is sell high on these guys who see the writing on the wall that sway is the guy and want to find other places to maybe start. Sell high. Sell dipper at the draft!!

I realize Dylan Larkin fits into the NHL Age of Player Empowerment thing, but this seems like such a different situation than Hughes, Tkachuk, Marner or others who were like “I’m not re-signing here."
He’s got 5 years left. Now, if *this* starts a trend, things get interesting.
Giving up Lundell a top 5 contract in the league and younger player for Larkin would be the dumbest move in the league!! It’s not happening Lundell + 9 is a better return than prime Eichel got. Larkin is 30. Twitter is on METH!
There's only one person to blame for Dylan Larkin exiting stage left in Detroit: Steve Yzerman.
How did we get here? I tackle that in my latest for @DailyFaceoff.
