I thought a better headshot would come from more editing. After testing photo after photo on my own face, I kept coming back to the same basics: where the light falls, where the camera sits, and whether the result still looks like me.
@IsaacGRivers I fix both my web and app versions at the same time and push updates right away. Honestly I'm still new to apps, so I don't know the answer either. Feels like we're in the same boat.
@richy7734 Thanks Paul. It's a passport photo app that checks photos against each country's rules. I'll leave the name out so this doesn't turn into a plug. Good luck with the launch tomorrow.
I spent months of late nights checking passport photo rules, country by country.
Apple rejected the app. The note just said "fake app." No clear reason.
I kept fixing things blind. Nothing worked. Finally I got someone on the phone. They told me Apple is phasing out apps built on government photo specs.
So that door closed. The app lives on Android now.
My next app has been sitting in Apple's review queue for a while. Waiting with no word is the hardest part. I check every morning anyway.
@thatGTMdude This means a lot. I'm in that quiet stage right now, building alone and trying to find my people. Thanks for recognizing that part of the journey.
