With sincere thanks also to DCC Heritage, Archaeology & Parks Departments, The Heritage Council, Creative Ireland and the Council for British Archaeology 3/3
We were honoured to win the award for Public dissemination or presentation at last Friday's #ArchaeologicalAchievementAwards. Public engagement is at the heart of our work but we couldn't do it without our wonderful colleagues....1/3
Incredibly proud of our team in St Anne's who won the award for Public dissemination or Presentation at last Friday's #ArchaeologicalAchievementAwards 🏆. Congratulations to @jwkyle13 @CathyMoore_Arch @MayneWalone
Following his visit to our excavation in September, the @LordMayorDublin kindly invited our TY students and members of our core team to a reception in the Mansion House today 🥰
A huge thank you to @LordMayorDublin Cllr Ray McAdam and the wonderful staff of the Mansion House for hosting us today to celebrate the fantastic work of the St Anne's Community Archaeology Programme's 2025 TY students and @AnnesParkArch team.
We're getting excited for the #ArchaeologicalAchievementAwards tomorrow night in Belfast, in which we are shortlisted in the category of Public dissemination or presentation. Community engagement is one of the best parts of our job and it is an honour to be included in the list!
It’s nearly time! This Friday, archaeologists from across the UK & Ireland will come together in Belfast for the #ArchaeologicalAchievementAwards to celebrate the projects, ideas, and community stories shaping archaeology today.

We have finished up #FindsFriday for this year, many thanks to our fantastic volunteers who processed over 1500 artefacts! Thanks also to DCC and the staff at the Red Stables for hosting us, a fitting place to carry out post excavation work.
Lady Olivia Ardilaun at the time of her marriage in 1871, and how she is portrayed in #HouseofGuinness. Daughter to the 3rd Earl of Bantry, she was married in Cork in the tradition of the bride to be married 'from home', not in Iveagh House as depicted in the show 1/2
We hope you are all enjoying #houseofguinness
St. Annes of course was sadly 'unavailable' for filming but we think Broughton Hall in Yorkshire is a good replacement. It's not exact of course but they did a great job adding the Irish Sea and North Bull Island to the background
We are thrilled to reveal the shortlist for the #ArchaeologicalAchievementAwards 2025. 🎉
Every shortlisted project demonstrates how archaeology connects people and places, and how it can spark fresh ideas about our shared past and future.

A huge congratulations to the team at @ABH1550 and to all those who volunteered on the @AnnesParkArch dig this year. So exciting to be able to see the extent of the footprint of the house which was uncovered this year in these fantastic shots!
Can’t thank everyone enough as always. The community part of community archaeology runs through the archaeologists, the volunteers, the TYs and everyone who visits.
It was an honour to be able to facilitate Irish Sign Language tours of the community excavation and finds table today, led by the amazing Alvean, assisted by Susan🙏.
Also, to hear Gaelic being spoken on an the dig this year has been brilliant🙏
It was a pleasure to host our friends from Balseskin today for a tour of the park & the excavation❤️. Massive thanks to our volunteer archaeologists, who did an absolute power of work today in the sunshine🙏👏👏👏. We’re back tomorrow to finish out week 4😁
Today our TY class got a quick course in geology as Aidan, a great community archaeologist and former geography teacher (which helps!) took them through the geological make up of the stone used in St Anne's.
