@LepantoInst Catholic teaching encourages vaccines. Practicing Catholics therefore do not have grounds for a religious exemption. If they don’t want the vaccines, they can exercise their right to choose to send their kids to noncatholic schools. You guys are about school choice, right?

@RepKeithSelf Nice try. Let’s be more explicit. What you mean is that it gives the party of the state that drew the statehouse’s gerrymandered districts control over who goes to the Senate. Statewide popular election is more likely to reflect the voters’ will. That’s what you’re afraid of.

@darreldrowland Helpful article, but needs a correction. In Ohio, only cities may levy taxes without state authorization. Counties, townships, school districts, etc., may tax only as state law (the legislature) permits. The GA may repeal that authority except where already pledged to pay bonds.
