Rep. Warren Davidson

Representing beautiful Ohio’s 8th Congressional District | Serving on @FinancialCmte, @HouseForeignGOP | Fighting to #DefendFreedom

[Rep. Warren Davidson @Rep_Davidson]

I love this country with a soldier's passion.

I swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution in the Army, and I took it again in Congress. I stay true to that oath by fighting for:

More Freedom. Less Government. Sound Money. Secure Borders. And Strong Families.

Honored to earn an A+ rating from Ohio Gun Owners.

The Second Amendment is clear: shall not be infringed. I'll keep fighting in Washington to protect Ohioans' right to keep and bear firearms.

[Representative Dave Taylor @RepDaveTaylor]

Over a month now, and still no answers as to why @CAgovernor gave this illegal alien a CDL, who then tragically killed a woman in southern Ohio. Once again, Democrats are standing with illegal aliens and open borders over the American people.

Under Biden and Obama, regulators pressured banks to cut off gun dealers, Trump supporters, and pro-life groups. They tried to make agreeing with their woke agenda a condition of having a bank account.

Your access to your own money should never depend on your politics.

My condolences to the family of the Lockland woman who tragically lost her life in this weekend’s fire.

Local officials understand their communities’ traffic patterns, alternate routes, and public safety needs. They should have the ability to address railroad crossing blockages based on local conditions.

[Homeland Security @DHSgov]

17 months of ZERO releases.

Border crossings have collapsed to historic lows thanks to the policies of @POTUS Trump and the heroic work of our @CBP agents and officers.

Health care works best when it stays local, with doctors and nurses who know their patients better than anyone.

This $92 million investment, made possible by the Working Families Tax Cuts Act, equips Ohio’s rural providers to add services, partner with one another, and expand the treatments they offer. That support gives families in small-town Ohio more options for quality care in their own communities.

The right to transact predates government.

Any legislation governing digital assets must protect self-custody.

Darke County will dedicate a stretch of State Route 49 to PFC James Vincent Pottkotter. A decorated soldier and Purple Heart recipient, he was 20 years old when he was killed in Vietnam in 1965, the first soldier from Darke County to give his life in that war.

This is a fitting tribute to a young man who gave everything for his country. Everyone who drives Route 49 will now pass his name and remember his sacrifice.

I signed @VP’s Pledge to Protect Americans from Fraud.

Since taking office, the Trump administration has uncovered over $260 billion in fraud across government programs. I’m committed to building on that record by protecting hardworking Americans’ tax dollars and ensuring those who steal from them face justice. @WHFraudTF

America's biggest banks cut off conservatives and Christians, citing “reputation risk.”

Translation: They were trying to score points with the Biden Administration's bank regulators.

[Rep. Warren Davidson @Rep_Davidson]

Senate Democrats asked for concession after concession on CLARITY, and the bill got weaker and lost momentum with each one. When the vote came, Democrats blocked it anyway.

They were set on obstruction from the start.

[Rep. Warren Davidson @Rep_Davidson]

The national debt is over $40 trillion. Both parties built it because the uniparty always votes for bigger government.

Their answer to every problem is more spending, and that mentality is exactly how we got here.

The only government we can afford is one small enough to fit within the Constitution.

[Financial Services GOP @FinancialCmte]

The Committee applauds @USComptroller and the @USOCC for exposing how Biden-era regulators injected politics into bank supervision and for taking steps to end politically motivated debanking.

We documented these practices in our Operation Choke Point 2.0 report and advanced its recommendations through the House-passed Main Street Capital Access Act. Together, these efforts seek to make bank examination ratings more objective, ensuring supervisory decisions are based on financial risk rather than political bias.

It was great to join the Butler County Township Association for its annual banquet in Hanover Township.

I shared an update from Washington and took questions from local elected officials about issues affecting Butler County communities and opportunities to improve collaboration between township officials and the federal government.

Overseas scam networks steal tens of billions of dollars from Americans every year, often targeting seniors, small businesses, and Americans with disabilities.

Thank you, @FBI, for continuing to pursue these criminal networks and make clear that those who prey on Americans will face consequences.

[FBI Director Kash Patel @FBIDirectorKash]

OPERATION BLACKOUT: Another massive blow to global scam empires targeting Americans.

Under President Trump’s leadership, this FBI and our partners delivered:

✅ 28 arrests in Ghana and Nigeria
✅ 350+ devices seized
✅ 3.7 MILLION scam-linked accounts, pages and groups taken down
✅ $11 MILLION+ in potentially freezable funds identified
✅ 120+ trafficked workers identified

To the criminals stealing Americans’ hard-earned money: Your borders won’t protect you. Your compounds won’t hide you.

President Reagan warned that “freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.” I watched socialism collapse in Europe in 1989. Less than 40 years later, I serve in Congress with members who openly call themselves socialists.

Americans have defended our freedom for 250 years. We cannot afford to try a system that has failed in the Soviet Union, Cuba, Venezuela, and every other country that has adopted it.

[Rep. Warren Davidson @Rep_Davidson]

Happy 251st birthday to the U.S. Navy! 🇺🇸⚓️

Since 1775, generations of American sailors have answered the call to serve and kept our nation safe at sea.

Today, we honor every sailor who has worn the uniform and thank them and their families for their dedication to defending our country.

America’s military readiness depends on a strong domestic industrial base. Modernizing the Defense Production Act would help strengthen American manufacturing, secure critical supply chains, and reduce our dependence on China for materials essential to our national security.

Read my article on modernizing the Defense Production Act in the Washington Times’ DefenseTech Special Section.

On today’s episode of “Midterm Report,” I chat with @Rep_Davidson about what it’s like to serve with socialists in Congress. He shares a powerful story of his visit to Berlin shortly after the wall fell in 1989.

“You go from that experience where I’m seeing firsthand how failed these ideas are, to I’m serving in Congress with people that describe themselves as socialists.”
