Your spiritual growth will increase exponentially the moment you stop seeking the friendship and approval of people who don't love Jesus with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength - Selah!
Frodo: “I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.”
Gandalf: “So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.”
Archbishop William Temple, as a young man, once asked his father, "Why don't the philosophers rule the world?" His father wisely replied, "They do, silly—two hundred years after they die."
The cause of the racial unrest in this nation isn't systemic racism, because it doesn't exist, the cause of the problems is an uncontrolled multiculturalism.
In the early church the mantra was, “no one can say “Κύριος Ἰησοῦς” – Jesus is Lord except in the Holy Spirit. And that statement was the reason that millions were persecuted and put to death. When Paul said no one can say Jesus is Lord, he wasn’t talking about being able to speak the phrase – what he was saying is that no one could say it in their heart and life without the active participation and energizing of the Spirit. Something else he wasn’t saying – today it is common to hear people speak of Jesus being their personal Lord and Savior, or how they have received Jesus as Lord, or something similar to that. That isn’t what Paul was saying either.
In the early church when you said “Jesus is Lord” it was designed to be a confrontational statement. You weren’t saying Jesus is “my” Lord, instead, you were saying Jesus is Lord of all and you have to bow the knee to Him. In Rome, the catchphrase of the day was that “Caesar is Lord.” To say anything else was an affront to the belief that the Caesers were divine, and could cost you your life. So when a follower of Jesus said, “Jesus is Lord” it meant whether I live or whether I die, Jesus is Lord of all and you must bow to Him.
So are you proclaiming to all that Jesus is Lord? Selah!
A Heads Up! As I have been warning for the last couple of years, because a growing number of Evangelicals and Charismatics are, at record numbers, abandoning the objective, foundational truth of God's Word and quickly becoming Christian only in a cosmetic sense - we will, in the not so distant future, experience a tsunami of big-name Christian leaders embracing outright compromise as they jump off of the orthodoxy train and climb aboard the train to apostasy. Recent events opened the gate, and already, several ministries and organizations have made the move and many more are preparing to do so. Selah!
@hinds_mela61795 Conservative, Charismatic, a patriot, and in this context she hasn't drunk the Kool-aid and has demonstrated she respects the rule of law, the Constitution, and has common sense.
Mistakes failing pastors always make:
1. We need more programs - nay nay.
2. We need more people to do more things - nay nay.
What we NEED is to equip the saints to do the work of the ministry.
What we NEED is to do what the Apostles did to equip the church to change the world:
1. Prayer
2. Preach the Word (not church history or sectarian traditions of men)
3. The Eucarist (the Lord's Supper)
If we get back to what has been tried and proven to work we will get the results God has designed we should get.

Freedom is not the desire to do what we want, but the power to do what we ought! Independence is determined in our nation by a Constitution derived from the standard of God’s Word! Selah!
