I hope people understand where and how Wonwoo is doing his military service. He is serving in South Korea as a public service worker, which is an official position assigned through the military’s medical evaluation system. His health status was already reviewed and approved before he was assigned. This isn’t something people can just choose for themselves.

It is not illegal to receive medical treatment or undergo medical procedures during military service. Military classification is based on the medical examination done before enlistment. After that, people continue living their lives they are not repeatedly re-evaluated every year unless there is a specific reason.

However, there is still social stigma in Korea, and public service is often unfairly seen by some as an “easier” option. Because of this, even normal or medical-related things can be misinterpreted and criticized.

Constantly analyzing Wonwoo’s eyesight, glasses, or making assumptions about what he did or didn’t do is unnecessary. He also mentioned before that removing his glasses in crowded or social settings helps reduce his anxiety.

Please stop making assumptions and allow him to serve and live in peace.
