True, very well said. Hale nails it. Although I'm skeptical that FSU would've gotten in with Travis tbh. Can't prove it.

But also, pretty clear that The Committee does the ESPN broadcast branch's bidding. I think we (media, fans, anyone really who talks about this sport and cares about it) need to stop discussing them like they're two separate entities.

The Committee is a meat shield. We should discard that meat shield in discussing this decision and future decisions.
