@VanessaCamejo7 I mentioned this as I talked of social media's future. I think that as Facebook continues to grow, people will have a greater chance of finding purpose and could use the platform's greatness to their own benefit. #eme4390S22
@John_D_Gregor Yes, Facebook does serve as a platform that allows for global togetherness and also provides for a creation of social groups. Someone that develops a terrible sickness may make a group with other that suffer from the same. Fascinating. #eme4390S22
@jade_patt Truly horrible. And the fact that it dictates what u can can’t do, like in the airport. I forgot what exactly but the employee wouldn’t let her do something because her rating was dropped below a 4.2. #eme4390S22
@jacquelyn_doan@blackmirror She does start off doing that but it was to buy the house and get a discount on it. She was just trying to be a part of their society as the rates seemed to affect their daily lives. This was shown in the airport.
@jacquelyn_doan@blackmirror Damn, interesting way to look at it. I felt as if she was just trying to fit in and got tired of it. Like deep down she really did dislike the rating scheme and this is exemplified at the end… #eme4390S22
@jacquelyn_doan@blackmirror Yeah and I feel like this happens in reality often. “Yo ur last insta post was awesome.” Something along the lines of talking about one’s social media presence which is totally normal but sometimes it’s all people talk about.
@jade_patt Imagine someone uninviting you to a party because they find out you have 20 followers on Instagram. Although the show is a bit exaggerated, it’s not too far off from how some people go about life, and how significant the impact of social media is. #eme4390S22
