It's crazy how you can spend so much time planning your life.
You think about your career.
You think about your finances.
You set goals and timelines.
You tell yourself, "If I stay consistent, I'll be here in a few months."
Then life happens.
Suddenly, the money you had planned for something else has to go elsewhere.
The time you thought you'd have disappears.
The plans you've been carefully putting together are pushed aside by things you never saw coming.
And the frustrating part is that life doesn't stop.
Work still has to be done.
Bills still have to be paid.
You're expected to keep showing up while you're trying to figure everything out.
It's a strange feeling.
One minute you're excited about where you're headed, and the next you're just trying to adjust to a reality you never planned for.
I guess that's life.
You make plans.
Life edits them.
Day 17/30 — a toucan close-up made in Adobe Illustrator. Different angle, different challenge. Flowing curves instead of sharp geometry, and every path had to count.
Day 14/30 — We missed a few days because life happened, but we are back, and the challenge continues. A geometric pug made in Adobe Illustrator with flat polygons, big sad eyes, and a tongue that refuses to stay in. The expression somehow survived the geometry.
Day 13/30 — a yellow lily made in Figma. The reference had a white background, but I swapped it for blue, and it completely changed the mood of the piece.
Day 12/30
Today, I recreated an illustration by @Daviowhite used in his brand identity course, to teach pen tool fundamentals. What I’m learning from this challenge is that mastering design really comes down to repetition, patience, and consistency.
