The Congress Government claims to have spent nearly ₹5,500 crore on Bengaluru’s roads in the last three years.

Yet, potholes continue to dominate our streets and road conditions are only getting worse.

Where has this taxpayer’s money gone?

I have urged Minister Sri Krishna Byre Gowda to release a White Paper within 30 days, detailing every rupee spent on roads over the last three years, with complete road-by-road and ward-by-ward details of the works executed, contractors involved, officials in charge, and the outcomes achieved.

Bengaluru deserves transparency. Taxpayers deserve accountability.

He is one of the richest people in India — Anand Deshpande. He recently entered the list of billionaires with billion-dollar wealth. He is the founder of Persistent, a multinational software company. The company, which has 53 offices across 18 countries, recently did a ‘Griha Pravesh’ / housewarming at yet another new location.

When you hear “software company”, what comes to mind is usually ‘Western culture’. But Persistent is an exception. See this photo. They entered the new place by performing a Satyanarayan Puja in the traditional Indian/Hindu way. In this company, holidays are given only for Indian festivals — meaning Hindu festivals, and specifically Marathi ones. So the New Year holiday isn’t on 1st January, but definitely on ‘Gudi Padwa’. No holiday for Christmas, but there _is_ a holiday on both days of Ganesh Murti Sthapana and Visarjan.

In Hinjewadi, Pune, the office has 4 towers named after Rigveda, Samaveda, Yajurveda, and Atharvaveda. The 2 towers of the office near Nal Stop are named after ancient Indian scientists Pingala and Aryabhata. The office building on Senapati Bapat Road is named Bhagirath. And inside the buildings, references from the Vedas are displayed on the walls at various places.

Just saying “Hindu culture is great” doesn’t achieve anything. To uphold its greatness, you have to send that message through action — and this company has done that, time and again. I’ve experienced the work culture here closely (I worked there for 2.5 years). Let me tell you a small thing: even though it’s an IT company, the women members here celebrate traditional customs like ‘Haldi-Kumkum’ with great joy. Even Satyanarayan Puja is performed properly. And despite all this, Persistent stands at a completely different peak in the IT sector. Last quarter, revenue was a whopping ₹1,491 crore.

The people working here aren’t called ‘employees’ but ‘members’ of the Persistent family. With over 15,000 members worldwide, this company’s turnover runs into hundreds of crores. One day , while I was traveling by train, a beggar approached me and said...

"Give something in the name of Allah, *Baba*." I looked up at him with an impassive expression and said... "I don't believe in Allah, so why should I give anything?" He glared at me... and then...

I made him an offer: "If you beg in the name of 'Lord Ram,' I will give you 10 rupees." At this, he stared at me in surprise, and the people around us in the train began watching us with curiosity.

Then, making my offer even more tempting, I said that if he begged in the name of Lord Ram, I would give him "50 rupees." However, the beggar refused to agree to this and walked away, muttering under his breath.

Sensing his dogmatism, I simply went back to reading my newspaper. But this incident taught me a lesson: even a beggar who has nothing to eat and survives by begging does not compromise his religion for the sake of money.

So, are those who call themselves Hindus... even worse off than a beggar? ...

Are they always ready to betray their faith and turn 'secular' out of greed for personal gain (money or position)? It is certainly something to think about... 🧐🧐🙏🏻

During Annual Day programme of Kids World English School in Partur, Jalna — school children danced on the Pakistani song of "Gustakh Nabi Ki Ek Saza..." with dummy swords.

In the background, they had celebrated with photo of Pakistani terrorist Mumtaz Qadri, who had assassinated Pakistan's Punjab Governor — as he had spoken in defence of a Christian woman Asia Bibi, accused of blasphemy.

This school claims to be affiliated with CBSE board ( @cbseindia29), and allegedly is promoting extremist ideology amongst children.

We urge @NCPCR_ to immediately take cognizance of the matter, and direct security agencies to investigate it and take appropriate action.

Chief Minister @DKShivakumar should stop taking PM Modi Ji’s name as a crutch of support to further his Bidadi Township project.

The Bidadi Township project has turned out to be Chief Minister DK Shivakumar’s vanity project. He has neither consulted farmers, nor taken them into confidence or has followed due process for land acquisition. Farmers deserve clarity, consultation and transparency before any land acquisition takes place.
