Great big THANK YOU to all State Representatives especially those who serve our Bayou region @JZeeRep @TannerDMagee @BerylAmedee Representative Fontenot, Representative Orgeron. @FletcherCollege@NichollsState appreciates you dedication and support. #HigherEducation
The better analogy is using this unexpected money to go on a vacation (from reality) when you know you won’t have enough to pay the bills next year… #lalege
Listening & learning from educators in Houma. @cadebrumley joined by @JZeeRep & @TannerDMagee today as he visits Vandebilt Catholic High & St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Elementary. #LaEd
When the Louisiana Outdoors Forever Program passed the state legislature, it was a huge win for conservation in the Bayou State.
Don't just take our word for it, read an op-ed by the bill's sponsor, @JZeeRep in @HoumaToday to learn more! #DuckPolicy https://t.co/vLDg8GDuN9
@JZeeRep sponsored a bill supporting the outdoors, stating: “I believe the La Outdoors Forever Program and Fund will make a lasting difference, allowing us to increase conservation of our natural resources, leverage new funding sources, & provide our citizens w/ a better future".
Good news that @LouisianaGov signed this bill from @JZeeRep setting revenue-sharing framework for offshore wind. Like oil & gas, wind will make important contributions to our state treasury and coastal restoration efforts. 💨💸💸 https://t.co/lZcI4Assp3
@LukeLaborde2 @LSUAgCenter@LSU Well deserved honor, I had the privilege of working @ LSU Sea Grant with Mark and witnessed his remarkable talent working with young folks through Marsh Maneuvers and with coastal stakeholders. Congratulations Mark!
Louisiana is strategically situated to benefit from this legislation due to our infrastructure and technical expertise of our oil and gas servicing companies
Our Louisiana Wind Energy bill HB 165 just passed the Senate! LA taking the lead in alternative energy production in the Gulf. Great opportunities for our oil & gas service companies and our state. Appreciate my co-author @FizzaCystJoe
The Senate moves on to a @JZeeRep bill that would expand the lease size for offshore #windenergy farms. @sharonhewitt has added an amendment that would require a decommissioning plan for these wind structures. The amended bill is approved w/o objection and goes back to the house
@landry_ben Thanks Ben and I totally agree stakeholders should have a seat at the table and hopefully we can start having those discussions soon when we have final passage of Louisiana’s Wind Energy bill.
We love offshore wind - and apparently fish do too!
Local Rhode Island fisherman and scientists designed the 1st study of offshore wind impacts on adjacent fisheries.
The results? Some fish species were more abundant following turbine install.
