I am glad to have been nominated by the Hon’ble Speaker of the Lok Sabha @ombirlakota ji,to serve as a Member of the Committee on Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) for the year 2026–27.

Today, I attended first meeting of the Committee meeting in New Delhi.

₹5 crore per year is never enough to meet the vast development needs of a Parliamentary constituency. There are significant gaps in basic infrastructure and public amenities, and there is much more that needs to be done.

I look forward to work constructively through the Committee to strengthen the implementation of MPLADS, address the challenges faced by MPs, and ensure that development funds are utilised effectively for the benefit of the people.
