Wanted to talk a bit about Volu Reza Shah today.

- This one is inspired by Reza Shah, the man who basically forced Iran into the modern era.

- From a simple soldier to the guy who built roads, universities, a strong army, and tried to drag the country forward, sometimes with an iron fist.

- I wanted to capture that unstoppable force and the heavy price that comes with it.

- I went pretty big and swollen with the forms on this one (Botero vibes all the way).

- The broad shoulders, the commanding presence, the almost overwhelming scale… I wanted him to feel like a monument.

- Not just a portrait of a historical figure, but the weight of vision, power, and the cost of big change all in one frame.
