The Wire have a special place in my heart. As my accounts were being targeted in May, they put their efforts on that story & followed through with pressure & questions to Meta.
I believe their journalism is one of the reasons I was able to get my accounts back.
In that tense situation, it really mattered to me.
The mother of democracy chooses this style over conversations and giving the protesters the answers they seek.

India’s IT ministry banned Telegram for one week because some users shared leaked exam questions.
This punishes 150M+ ordinary Telegram users in India — not the insiders who leaked the exam materials.
And the ban hasn't stopped anything. The leaks just moved to other apps.
Over 300,000 people die of drowning each year. In order to protect society, it is now illegal to consume or possess water.
