#Syria: Israel withdrew last night from the new position IDF established yesterday on a hill near the village of Abidin in Yarmuk Basin (W. #Daraa).

The withdrawal followed protests by local residents, who blocked roads & threw stones, prompting Israeli soldiers to fire warning shots.

Tensions escalated later in the night, with IDF artillery striking the outskirts of the village and Israel scrambling fighter jets.

The incident didn't cause casualties.
