@W8LR_Jerry Thanks Jerry...how do you do this when satpc32 is controlling the rig?
If I turn off the CAT control in satpc32 (to manually switch modes), then when I turn CAT control back on, I lose the USB-D again. What am I missing?

IC9700 users of satpc32...
when switching modes to digital USB-D / LSB-D (or turning on/off the CAT connection), I have to click between 3 to 8 times for the mode to assign correctly on the RX side. Does anyone else have this problem? It ONLY happens when switching to DIG mode

By the way, for anyone following this thread...the key to getting opposite com ports to work was switching the IC9700 to USB (B) instead of (A).

IC9700 users...I'm stuck.
When turned on, I see COM6 and COM7 (in device manager)
SATPC32 works great on COM7 (does not work on COM6)
WSJT-X works great on COM7 (does not work on COM6) Installed fresh drivers and firmware to no avail.
How can I run SATPC32 and WSJT-X together?

@K0JM_Mark Thanks Mark, This makes sense except that WSJT-x software won't key my rig if I choose COM6 (even though device manager shows it being connected to IC9700). I guess I must have something set wrong but can't figure out what.

Heard #WC7V and @w0dhb on RS44 FT4 mode…! I’m one step closer to an actual QSO. WSJT-x software keeps losing rig control on the downlink when I turn the dial on the ic9700. Not sure how to fix that…

@W4Zxt @NJ7V_ Yes they sent a replacement but I haven’t used it…I switched to a sturdier (heavier) key. I also have their paddles but never tried them after the straight key fiasco. I’m sure a lot depends on the user and I guess I just have a heavy hand :)
