@monicamarveloux @emma_bastin Lou Taylor has an interest in this area. It might be worth checking through her many publications to see if she has published anything. There are definately items that relate to her visits to the area in 1970s/80s in the Brighton Dress History Teaching Collection.
@vickyhaddock@V_and_A More of items from her Wardrobe are held at Norfolk Museums, Worthing Musuem and the World Dress Collection of Leeds Musuems and Galleries. Does anyone know of items in any other Musuem collections?
@PrincessHamira I have been waiting for this book to come out. I couldn't make it to the conference and can't wait to get my hands on this for my PhD research.
@Cyberfoxy22 @gunsnrosesgirl3 I b/f my b/g twins for 32 months. They had there own side by around 4 months. When I expressed milk it was often a different colour and consistency from each side.
@PhDVoice@Academic_Tasks@PostdocVoice They care about me and my work, they are willing to share their knowledge and expertise, they are tolerant and understanding of my personal situation, they advocate for me, they provide honest feedback and constructive criticism
@PhDVoice@Academic_Tasks@PostdocVoice No, but it does require: focus, organisation, tenacity and a good support network that can and will explain how academia works
@Kiaod @uniofbrighton I'm so sorry to hear you have been impacted like this Kristin. The proposed redundancies are having such a devestating impact made worse by how badly it has been handled. I hope you get to schedule your viva soon.
@amywilsonstorey@KHarveyHistory@ExeterDoctoral@cat_fisk You might have seen it already but she wrote this great article too:
Fisk, Catriona. "Looking for Maternity: Dress Collections and Embodied Knowledge." Fashion Theory 23.3 (2019): 401-39.
@AnnebellaPollen@DudleyMarianna I love this memorial monument! We used to say this is where Mrs Tittlemouse lived and my children would leave her and the birds presents every time we passed.
@PhDMumLife As a mum of twins who are very competitive over me. My advice is keep repeating to her what you expect and why, acknowledge both their feelings,(it is hard to share), emphasises taking turns and try and do 1:2:1 time regularly.
