@Rajeev127812@sparkgalaxy@realDonaldTrump Antifa is short for anti fascist. A loose organisation that first formed to fight nazis in 1930s Germany. How is Antifa anti American? Are Americans fascists? (I’m Australian, genuinely want to know).
@london_rider@erinnblackk Let me get this right. The arrogant condescending person is the one wearing an uncomfortable mask so that someone she probably doesn’t know has a better change of not dying alone? Ok. We wear masks in Melbourne. It’s sucks. But we’ve avoided 30,000 deaths & have 0 cases. :-)
I am willing to stay in #melbournelockdown for as long as it takes to keep my family and neighbours safe. Especially as my elderly parents live me. To the hairdresser in Coolangatta who told my mate that means I’ve got Stockholm syndrome. Kindly get stuffed. #DanForPM
@bigredsibin@PressSec I have zero respect for this @pressec and history will judge her, but she has a right to do her job without being sexualised and demeaned by entitled misogynists
@wantobelikemike @chrissyteigen I had 3 miscarriages in a row. I tried handling it differently each time. 1st time, told no one and got told off by boss for taking unpaid sick leave; cried in public, next time told pp openly, copped lots of criticism, 3rd time decided... to deal with it however I liked
@Dontlikenames1 @radicavaqueen Google: paradigms & sociology - this is a good place to start. https://t.co/uiDSqq0E8w. You might also find Foucault and Kohlberg’s moral hierarchy useful. //Twitter class is over now
@Dontlikenames1 @radicavaqueen The other thing to ask yourself is why you privilege your knowledge and life experience above mine. I presumably know my students. I taught for over 10 years. Why would you know more about the character and nature of my students than me?
@Dontlikenames1 @radicavaqueen The mistake is not that you applying your experience to it. The mistake is not understanding the limits of your experience. And not recognising that your framework/paradigm makes somethings visible BUT renders other things invisible
@Dontlikenames1 @radicavaqueen But why did you jump to assume “no structure”? That was an emotive leap. Ask yourself why you made it. What paradigms are you working working that make you see a small change in interpretation or policing of the rules as total removal of structure?
@Dontlikenames1 @radicavaqueen I’m not saying your beliefs actually alight with that trope either. Just that that is how you’re coming across and perhaps you might want to reflect on that - if it’s not how you really feel
@Dontlikenames1 @radicavaqueen You didn’t literally say “I know reality” but you implied you have special insights into my students motivations, behaviour and needs b/c of your life experience
@Dontlikenames1 @radicavaqueen There are clear guidelines. There was also case-by-case judgement. Just as there are in the courts or any other systems of rules in our country. I took a broader perspective on what was fair within my bailiwick. That doesn’t mean I threw the whole system out the window.
@t_tsvet @radicavaqueen This makes me think of this illustration. You’re the kid in the purple T-shirt who successfully pulled themselves up to see. B/c of that you think it’s unfair if someone else gets an extra box. But you’re forgetting that most students never needed an extra box in the first place
