@VinayRaja_UC In the start, I thought I knew the process of close reading but through these activities, I was able to go into more detail. The steps that the close reading assignments included made me think and research on my own rather than just commenting, which helped me understand clearly.

Especially now in the 21st century, it is important that multimedia platforms allow for advocacy of different issues. Social media can help educate and give resources on many topics, and allows for connecting with different organizations. #WhatIlearnedinWR60

As I gathered information on puppy mills, I learned that paying attention to signs and treatment of animals is a big way to shut down puppy mills, and help advocate for safe conditions. #WhatIlearnedinWR60

Before WR60, I didn't know what a scicomm article was. Now, I know how much valuable information they can give to non scientist. I can learn much more about scientific topics when a research article seems difficult to comprehend. #WhatIlearnedinWR60

Throughout this course, there were many valuable things I learned, such as the use of Chat GPT for finding issues that dogs face, as well as resources. A few key words can prompt ideas to write an entire essay.

@VinayRaja_UC I think this idea is very important as many people are not educated nor realize that there are wolves in their area. I feel like wolves are thought of in a negative way, so this would really help!
