The attached footage depicts members of the Tangkhul NSCN-IM, associated volunteers, and Liangmai individuals assaulting Mao youths without provocation.

It appears that in the absence of the Kuki-Zo community as a target, certain groups are reluctant to engage in violence against other tribes within the Naga community. This is a serious threat to all communities within the so-called Naga fold.

This incident underscores the need for communities in Tamenglong, Chandel, Senapati, and Noney districts to raise their voices collectively. It is imperative that they free themselves from the dominance and vested interests of Tangkhul NSCN-IM and its elements that engage in divisive politics and undermine unity and peace within the Naga community.
