Two weeks ago, deadly floods struck the coast of West Africa, leaving a heavy trail of destruction, damage, and death. Ghana, Togo, Nigeria, and Ivory Coast suffered flash floods that killed more than 70 people. Scientists at Imperial College London now say that what should have been a routine weather event became a climate catastrophe due to global heating.
