Since we apparently still have grown men exposing themselves by openly admitting they don’t understand what statutory rape is, let’s make this very simple.
Statutory rape exists because children cannot legally consent to sexual activity with adults. It doesn’t matter if the adult says the child “agreed.” It doesn’t matter if the child didn’t fight back. It doesn’t matter if someone tries to frame it as a “relationship.”
A child does not have the legal or psychological capacity to consent to sex with an adult. That is exactly why the law exists.
The reason some men struggle with this concept is because they try to center the child’s behaviour instead of the adult’s responsibility. They ask what the child said, how the child acted, what the child wore, or whether the child “wanted it.”
None of that changes the fact that the responsibility always lies with the adult.
Statutory rape laws exist to protect minors from adults who try to blur that line. I know a lot of you little bitches are suddenly acting confused about what statutory rape is, because you know you’ve engaged sexually with a child before.
Men will literally believe a woman is a slut from a man with zero proof but all of a sudden they need 200 photos, 65 videos, 15 police reports and 10 witnesses to believe a man is a rapist. Make it make sense
parents understand their daughters can be victims of sexual assault but can't fathom the idea that their sons can be perpetrators... so they'll "teach" their daughters to do everything to "avoid" rapee but ASSUME that their son will never be a sexual predator.
Men to women they don't know:
"Not all men!"
Men to their girlfriends:
"You can't trust them."
Men to their wives:
"I know how men think."
Men to their daughters: "They all want one thing."
Make it make sense?
the amount of men asking "what if she gets her period and starts a war" about a 60 year old woman is a prime example of why men need to stay out of our reproductive rights.
if you’re picking hockey teams based on joy and whimsy you really should be a washington capitals fan because i never quite understand what’s going on in that locker room but they sure do appear to be having a good time
“Think not of the books you’ve bought as a ‘to be read’ pile. Instead, think of your bookcase as a wine cellar. You collect books to be read at the right time, the right place, and the right mood.”
