in the US a racist WHlTE couple adopted 5 black children to use them as slaves on their farm, locked them in a barn without food or bathroom and abvsed them for a whole decade.
Not a single Republican protested or made signs for him.
On Wednesday night, February 18, 2026, around 9:30 p.m., Grand Rapids police chased 32-year-old Da’Quain Johnson on his bike, cornered him in the parking lot of his own southeast Grand Rapids apartment complex, unleashed a K‑9 on him, and then shot him about 3 or 4 times while he was on the ground.
Police now say they recovered a handgun at the scene and that state investigators are reviewing the shooting while the officer is on leave.
Da’Quain Johnson was a son, a neighbor, and a member of his community, not a threat to be torn apart and gunned down where he lived. It is 2026, and Black men are still being met with dogs and bullets instead of protection, still dying in encounters that are supposed to be about “public safety.”
His family deserves full transparency, full accountability, and justice for Da’Quain Johnson.
My deepest condolences go out to his mother, his loved ones, and everyone greatly affected by this tragic loss.
In 1946 WWII veteran Maceo Snipes was shot in his back by the KKK the day after he became the first Black person to cast a vote in Taylor County, Georgia.
After he was shot, Mr. Snipes walked three miles to the hospital with his mother. For six hours doctors left him waiting and bleeding. By the time he was seen, he needed a blood transfusion. The doctors said the hospital had no “black blood.” Snipes died two days later.
This is why I will vote in every election. The day I stop voting is the day I stop breathing. #DemsUnited #BlackHistoryWithLana

This is Linda Davis, a special education teacher who was killed in a car crash involving ICE agents
The agents didn’t render aid.
She was minutes from her school and bled to death in her car.
They didn’t offer aid to Renee Good or Alex Pretti either.
Say her name too.
UPDATE: Our mom had a seizure about an hour ago. It was more severe than usual. I ask again that you consider donating or spreading the word. Any support is appreciated.
“This isn’t an article or a news story you should just swipe past. This is my real life and my dad is dead. Justice for Keith Porter Jr.”
This young woman’s father was killed by an off duty ICE agent
Jean Wilson Brutus, a 41-year-old Haitian man, died less than 24 hours after entering ICE custody at Newark’s Delaney Hall. ICE took a week to acknowledge it.
The public deserves answers.
Say his name.
Renee Nicole Good is the second person who has been killed by ICE this week. In LA, ICE killed Keith Porter in his own home as he celebrated on New Year’s Eve.
