India per capita income is < 3K. Global average and median are 4-6 times that number. Without doing anything earth shattering, we can quadruple per capita in next 2 decades. More universities, more hospitals, more railways, ports etc. etc. And that's where is the gr8 opportunity!
imo in the context of this tweet, @deedydas makes a perfect argument. if you look at the size of outcomes, there's really no logical reason to build in india.
but in the larger context, it may not hold to be true. US is the largest economy in the world and one of the most entrepreneurial nations in the world. but it doesnt make sense for all 8bn people on the planet to take the below logic and relocate to US.
there will always be people all over the world migrating to other places and making a better life for themselves and that is a noble cause. there will also be people who will chose to stay back, and improve the country they are born in which is also a noble cause.
there will be some, who will be in between, begrudgingly moved to a new country in the chase of a better life but would like to be in their home country. atleast for that lot, India of today provides a lot more opportunities than india of a decade ago and that is undeniable.
the call of "build in india" is never about being better than the US. maybe someday we get there, but today our fight is to make india worth building in and I think every day we make progress there and we justify india as a good place to build for another day.
H1Bs are being offered fast track employment access in Canada. Several other countries have similar schemes. Though they don't mention H1B explicitly, the target cohort is similar.
A small percentage of Indians in the USA are H1 B visa holders.
The vast majority are US citizens and they are there for decades and not going anywhere. They also travel to and from the USA multiple times a year without incident.
The Trump Presidency is a lame duck one now and there will be an election coming within a couple of years.
US Banks have been left to pick up the pieces of Trump’s stupid shortsighted policy.
But the reason you don’t see many Indians comment on these posts is that the vast majority of them are Green card holders and US Citizens in permanent jobs.
So, all that insecure Americans can do is to make these posts on X, but fact is that job markets change and real talent will always find an outlet, it will be America’s loss …. they will go elsewhere.
Crux of all arguments is, we are master race, hence we are right. If you dare to punch holes in our argument, we'll pivot to insults, intimidation and ridicule.
Before calling Indians insecure nationalists, perhaps understand the issue you are commenting on.
India is not obligated to wave Musk through its regulatory system simply because he promises connectivity. Starlink is a commercial satellite network, not a charitable mission, and India has every right to scrutinise the technology, business model and security implications before allowing it to operate.
First, national security is not an inconvenience to be dismissed. Satellite networks operate across borders. India must establish how Indian traffic will be routed, how lawful interception will work, whether data and gateways remain under effective Indian jurisdiction, and whether services can be restricted during emergencies. These are legitimate questions of sovereignty, particularly in a country with sensitive borders and active security challenges. India’s own licensing framework requires compliance with security conditions, lawful interception and domestic gateway requirements.
Second, connectivity does not automatically mean affordability. Starlink requires specialised user terminals, satellite infrastructure and recurring subscription payments. It may be invaluable in remote villages, mountainous regions, disaster zones and areas where terrestrial networks are uneconomical. But it is not self-evidently the cheapest solution for millions of ordinary Indians when mobile broadband and fibre already serve vast parts of the country. The real question is where satellite internet fills a genuine gap, at what cost, and for whom.
Third, spectrum is a public resource, not Elon Musk’s private entitlement. Its allocation, pricing and conditions must account for national security, efficient use, fair competition and the interests of existing telecom networks. India has a regulatory process for precisely these reasons.
Fourth, the conspiracy allegation itself deserves scrutiny. As of October 2026, the government says Starlink, Jio and OneWeb are at broadly similar stages of security assessment. All have received preliminary approvals, but further clearances and spectrum arrangements remain necessary. That does not prove every delay is justified, and the government should be held accountable for unreasonable delays. But it certainly does not establish that Indian oligarchs are secretly conspiring to block Musk.
And let us address your personal insult. Questioning Musk’s allegation is not the same as worshipping Indian billionaires. If Ambani or Mittal receives preferential treatment, expose it. If regulators are deliberately delaying Starlink, produce the evidence. But do not demand that Indians accept an unsubstantiated accusation merely because its author is a billionaire selling a blue tick.
As for democracy, India conducts elections on an extraordinary scale through EVMs with VVPAT paper trails. The United States has a decentralised patchwork of voting systems, and its Capitol was attacked on January 6, 2021, in an attempt to disrupt the constitutional transfer of power. Neither fact makes one country infallible or the other illegitimate. The point is simple: no country gets to claim moral superiority while demanding that others abandon critical scrutiny.
And no, this is not about wounded national pride. It is about refusing to confuse corporate lobbying with public service.
India welcomes technology. India needs competition. India needs better connectivity in underserved areas. Starlink may well contribute to all three.
But India also needs security, affordable access, fair regulation and sovereign control over critical infrastructure.
A billionaire’s commercial ambitions aren’t constitutional rights. Allegations aren’t evidence, and questioning Musk doesn’t make 1.4 billion Indians stupid or insecure.
Learn the difference between defending a monopoly and defending India’s sovereign right to set rules for every company, Indian or foreign.
My tweet may not make any difference, but I sincerely hope it reaches the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and hope they consider pardoning & releasing Sivarasa Anojan, a young man barely 24. A human life is far more precious than a Facebook comment. I hope compassion prevails. #SaveAnojan @KSAMOFA
Dear Jonathan,
Elon has been brutally ratioed and schooled by Indians over the last few days. He's recovering. He's busy allowing anti-India racism and hate on X. This Baudhayana predating a legendary Pythogoras can't be allowed now, unfortunately.

SM is not another medium for expression, it has become a tool for manipulation. Bot farms, Algo tweaks, psyops, engagement farming 😔
When you can make more money or get higher attention by posting outright lies than by doing any diligence, why bother.
Please watch every second of this video. Note every inconsistency or incorrect piece of information; comment to her and tell her where she is wrong. Please include links and sources. Her low-IQ ass needs to be shut the hell down.
She got popular over the years because people felt sorry that her husband died in Iraq. Now, she stands on his grave to spit lies, and I'm not having it. She dishonors his memory with her conduct.
India’s communications ministry clarifies satcom player gets the same “fair and non-discriminatory” treatment.
Starlink, Bharti-backed Eutelsat OneWeb and Reliance-backed Jio Satellite are all at broadly the same regulatory stage. All 3 have been awarded licences, and all three are awaiting security clearances. No one is ahead, and no one is being held back. The ministry calls any claim of unfairness “baseless and misconceived.”
Even SpaceX’s own VP, speaking at India Mobile Congress hours before Musk’s post, said Starlink is ready to launch once India gives the green signal, and that it built its operations specifically for India’s security requirements.
No foreign billionaire gets a shortcut past India’s security checks.
The Orange Plague and Apartheid Tom
Thot they could lord over with their Bots Anon
And then they poked the Indicus Interneticus
And got buried in the ensuing shitstorm 😂
Hey listen you fucktard @elonmusk : no one gives a monkey’s toss about you. No one. Not in China. Not in India. And not even in your adopted United States. And remember we are India. We invented the Kamasutra so we can screw you in positions that even @SpaceX can’t imagine!
@DeveshsK_ Unless we put the spotlight on this Apartheid worm from South Africa, we'll keep taking such nonsense. Pity instead of banning his compromised SM, Indian government keeps promoting it.
Stay with Modi. He understands India way better than us Twiterrartis do. Your accomplishments notwithstanding, we are a poor, malnourished country. We need to keep going. And supporting govt is one way to do it. Contributing effort and money is even better.
@SriniN123 The markets of a visionary leader is one who facilitates the society to break out of its weaknesses. Modi was given that power by the people. He failed to deliver.
You can have ideological differences with him. Maybe the militant secularism aka anti Hinduism or corruption will eventually rear its head, but as of now, he is ticking all the right boxes. Even hardcore BJP supporters in Tamil Nadu are pleasantly surprised by his performance. If Vijay is able to curb corruption, he would have set a new standard in Indian governance.
Saritha Komatireddy JUST STEAMROLLED Letitia James in this debate!🔥🔥🔥
Saritha Komatireddy: “New York spends $126 billion on Medicaid every year. That’s more per resident than any other state in the country, and twice as much per resident as New Jersey. That doesn’t make any sense. We’re both blue states with similar demographics and similar policies.
There’s about $40 billion in unexplained spending that Letitia James has failed to investigate.
We used to have one of the best Medicaid fraud units in the country under previous Democratic attorneys general. We recovered about $250 million a year. Letitia James came in, and it took a nosedive to $19 million.
Under previous Democratic attorneys general, we secured about 100 criminal convictions a year. Under Letitia James, that number hit an all-time low of eight.
She gets 2,000 patient abuse complaints a year and secures maybe one or two convictions. That means someone could be punching an elderly patient in a nursing home, and no one is doing anything.”
Imagine going to US on a dual-intent VISA in the hope that you can become a citizen. And you stay there for decades without a reasonable shot at Green card. While every other national selling Kebabs on street corner gets naturalized.
She said it the nice way.
I'll depart from that cordiality to say it plainly.
JD Vance and his "fraud task force" are a bunch of fucking liars, twisting facts and figures to create the illusion of non-existent, widespread, rampant systemic H-1B visa fraud and abuse of PERMS to anger and scare low-IQ nitwits about programs they have no idea about.
Vance and his flying monkeys are abusing their positions and the implied trust and faith of their offices to engage in financial warfare against domestic and international corporations in a brazen and overt act of jingo-Marxism. They are no better than the Democrats and their DSA nonsense.
I will not tell you to cast your vote during the midterms, but I will tell you this:
This was the straw that broke my camel's back.
I will not vote for ANY Republican until MAGA and all their minions are purged from power and the @gop.
If Texas goes blue, so be it.
I'll burn this mother fucker to the ground and plant a new crop so next season we will have a better harvest.
DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS!
Indians, being the pussies they are, never raised this issue as strongly as it needed to be. Now it has come to the fore. As an Indian, I hope they stop all immigration from India.
As a neutral observer, it pains me how much we suffer, without even complaining.
