@kevinouma@amenya_nelson It will be the same, but there is a difference if someone internalize their leadership responsibility to be beyond mere politics of deception.
A 65+ year-old marathon legend might miss the StanChart Nairobi Marathon… not because she’s injured, but because she couldn’t afford to register in time. 💔
So I was saying goodbye to ShoSho Carol today and telling her how excited I was to run the @StanChartKE Nairobi Marathon with her, only to learn—to my absolute shock—that she missed registration because she simply didn’t have the registration fee at the time. By the time she was able to raise it, registration had already closed. 💔
While I would gladly sponsor her registration, entries are now closed.
Carol has completed several StanChart Nairobi Marathons and is one of only a handful of active runners over the age of 65 who continue to inspire our running community. Many of you have run alongside her and know the passion and joy she brings to every race.
I’m therefore making a humble appeal to @StanChartKE and the race director to please consider granting her an honorary entry this year. It would be such a shame for her remarkable streak to end because of circumstances like this.
If Carol has ever inspired you, please repost this, tag @StanChartKE, and help us get this message to the race organizers. Let’s see if we can get ShoSho Carol to the starting line. 🙏🏾🏃🏾♀️❤️
Nawaomba mnifikishie this post to the right people 🥹🥹🙏
@mutuma_mathiu New appointments should elicite some excitement on the new thinking of the new appointees. But that is not a measure for Kenya appointees...
