There is no reason why I should be denied because I quit a job to start another one and then that company lets me go. I’m finding that it’s common place too. Have you heard about this? What are you doing to solve this problem?

@jaredpolis you are seeing an incredibly flawed unemployment system that is actively fucking people over that pay taxes and expect for something like unemployment insurance to work for them. I have now burned through much of my 401k paying rent.

I was let go from my job after just 6 weeks in November. I applied for unemployment and was denied. I am told it’s because of my previous employment that I left for my most recent job. This makes no sense. Why am I being denied because of previous employment?
