Lets start with the name : Zion "𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡". The word Christian points us to Christ, the One who died for our sins, rose again and is the only Mediator between God and man.
1 Timothy 2:5 says it plainly "For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus."
So how can you identify with a "𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡", claim to follow the God of the Bible, yet entertain teachings that give a human leader a position that belongs to Christ alone?
When you raise these concerns, you hear the excuses: "He is a prophet, Mothusi, He is like Moses or Elijah. etc
But where does the Bible give any man permission to take the place of Jesus Christ? Where does Scripture tell us to surrender our spiritual discernment to a religious leader?
No prophet, pastor, bishop or church leader is above God’s Word. None! Not Moses. Not Elijah. Not Engenas Lekganyane or Barnabas. Nobody!
Jesus Christ is the Mediator, the Saviour, and the Head of the Church. Not Engenas or Barnabas Lekganyane. Not any other religious leader.
ZCC's mission is to try blend Christs Gospel with African culture. Thats another problem and how some people interpret scripture to accommodate their "denomination’s traditions".
Instead of allowing the Bible to correct their beliefs, they make the Bible fit what they already believe. That is dangerous.
We must extremely careful of religious syncretism, mixing Christianity with beliefs and practices that contradict Scripture. Every teaching must be tested against God’s Word.
1 John 4:1 tells us to test the spirits because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
Whenever someone seeks the honour or authority that belongs to Christ alone, Christians must take it seriously. Scripture warns us about false teachers who lead people away from the truth.
Ultimately this is about more than Lekganyane or the Zion Christian Church. This is about eternity.
Your church affiliation cannot save you. Your loyalty to a religious leader cannot reconcile you to God. Church traditions cannot replace personal faith in Jesus Christ.
One day every one of us will stand accountable before God. You have heard the warning. You have an opportunity to examine your beliefs against Scripture.
Jesus Christ died for our sins and paid the price we could never pay ourselves. Through His death and resurrection, He made the way for us to be reconciled to God.
While you still have time, repent and put your faith in Jesus Christ.

Your decision matters. This is not merely a debate about religion or denominations. It concerns your eternal destiny.
Jesus said in John 14:6 "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Not through Lekganyane. Not through a denomination. Through Jesus Christ alone.
May God open our eyes to His truth, give us the courage to 𝐫𝐞𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 and draw us to genuine repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
May God bless you. Amen.
I think MacG has properly analysed the Ekurhuleni situation.
Kagiso Lerutla is educated and genuinely a nice guy. His problem and downfall, he allegedly betrayed his BEST FRIEND and colluded with politicians to get rid of a Whistleblower.
A whistleblower who knows ALL HIS SECRETS.
