PICS: King Misuzulu kaZwelithini on Tuesday received Her Majesty Queen Masalanabo Modjadji VII for a royal courtesy and strategic engagement at eMashobeni Royal Palace in Pongola.
The engagement brought together two of Southern Africa’s most historically significant indigenous monarchies.
The Balobedu Queenship is renowned for its centuries-old lineage of Rain Queens, occupies a distinctive place in Africa’s spiritual, cultural and matrilineal heritage and the Zulu Monarchy which carries a profound responsibility as custodian of the history, identity, traditions and unity of the Zulu nation.
Chiefs announce signing of Mtasingwa from Tanzania
Kaizer Chiefs have secured the services of Adolf Mtasingwa Bitegeko from Tanzanian giants, Azam FC for an undisclosed fee, following successful negotiations between the two Clubs.
The 27-year-old defensive midfielder, who was captain at Azam, becomes the first player from Tanzania to join Amakhosi. His arrival adds to the impressive list of players from over 20 different African countries who have worn the famous Gold & Black jersey.
