Finished the build on my first 3-string fretless electric cigar box guitar. I put a piezo pickup under the bridge, no tone, no volume. Just plug in to an amp and play. The “Frets” markers were placed at each whole note location for reference. It’s really a blast to play.

Went to the cigar store and picked up seven boxes. Off to the woodshed to build some cigar box guitars.

One of my Tele’s on the workbench last night. Put an “ashtray” cover over the bridge pickup and installed (finally) a new ornate control plate. Digging it. Before and after pics.

Played for the first time in a while last night. Shoulder surgery hurts, but the Tele and Strat rehab program (endorsed by Keith Richard’s) is working wonders. Three months till I’m back to full Rock and Roll / Chicken Pickin’ strength.
