@ProfJNMoyo Politics in Zimbabwe (like much of Africa) is really all about power (proximity / leverage / exercise). Gaining power carries an extremely high cost. No amount of work or structure obviates sacrifice and so the opposition prefers to leverage what they can. Them the apples.
@LynneStactia Mixed bag. Did some excellent things in his prime (education stands out), some unforgivable things too (gukarahunde for sure), but for the most part probably made a positive contribution to his country and continent (during his prime). Shame he stayed on far too long.
@KMutisi Looked like a genuine spontaneous moment. Just imagine the self-reflection/evaluation of the guy before (or the guy after) not receiving the same warmth π«£ππ
@daddyhope Tbf running a successful airline is not easy the world over. I think SADC countries (including South Africa) should form a consortium and have a combined airline servicing us all - itβs been done before by the Scandinavians (SAS) for example and could work for us.
@daddyhope But is he responsible for the rigging (and violence and intimidation)? Totally get the frustration (with the overall state of affairs) - but surely it should be directed at those actually responsible for the rigging, intimidation and violence? π§π€¨π€
@waltermzembi Dude the fatigue was there back when you were in power why didnβt you do something about it then? The gameβs the same itβs just the players that have changed π€·πΏββοΈ
@waltermzembi@UN@AfricaFfCD How strange - I thought βdiplomatic engagementsβ are the exclusive domain of state actors. ππ§π€ Well done all the same (I think). Perchance you (and they) must know something the rest of us donβt know π€·πΏββοΈ
@Jamwanda2 Should his team have anticipated this do you think? (was certainly my first thought that something like this could happen when being invited to sign a week after being attacked). In any event he did well in the follow up TV interviews. #storminteacup#theatrepolitics
@Hon_Kasukuwere This made me laugh out loud π€£ I did not know him but his humour has blessed me tonight. MHDSRIP and sorry for your loss to all who knew him - sounds like he was a very good man. πππ
@waltermzembi@ZBCNewsonline Every now and then you write something that reminds me that you were once one of them and in many ways you still think like them π³π€ youβre right - people should not be concerned about accountability (including during your time in public office) at a public broadcaster π
@BonganiMapumulo @Butsang_Nare Oh I see! So we all have a unique signature smell (odour if you will) that we can mix with our favourite fragrance (which may or may not be a favourite fragrance for others)?
@_hariett *chuckling* back in the day mumwe airohwerwa for the same incident - expect our parents would hit the mind-screw switch and say something like: βhandisi kukurovera kuti waputsa- asi kuti wapotsa!β
@_hariett But pafeya - if the fatal shot was deliberate (and depending on distance of course) - you may have a serious footballer on your hands and paying Β£70 to discover that kind of talent may be an absolute steal!
