Am I stupid, or is OpenAI literally selling plans as 5x and 20x the usage of Plus without publicly telling us what the actual Plus agentic usage allowance is? LMAO
Like... 20x WHAT?
For Codex, we now know the token → credit rates, which is great. But I still can't find a public number saying:
Plus = X tokens / Y included credits
And OpenAI itself says usage varies depending on the model, task complexity, context size and session length.
So we're basically buying multipliers against an undisclosed baseline.
I'm not even asking for unlimited compute. Just tell me how big the fucking bucket is so I can understand what “20x” actually means.
OpenAI’s evil plan (according to my theory): they lowered the limits for ChatGPT subscribers, increased the limits for GPT-5.6 Sol on the API, and somehow think nobody noticed.
Sorry, @thsottiaux, but here I am again with this mess.
I've completely stopped using ChatGPT Work, Codex, and even regular ChatGPT with GPT-5.5 Instant. For the past 8 hours, I've been monitoring my usage, and my quota has dropped another 2% despite doing absolutely nothing. I've been using Gemini exclusively to avoid any ChatGPT usage during this test.
To make things even stranger, my ChatGPT profile says I've used 8.3 million Sol tokens today. From what? Which task? My last task was yesterday 1:05 PM.
At this point, this isn't about automations (they're all paused), using multiple devices (I only use ChatGPT on my MacBook and iPhone), or unauthorized tools, as some people suggested.
At this rate, I could lose 42% of my weekly quota without sending a single prompt.
Usage quotas simply cannot drain for no identifiable reason.
I criticized Anthropic when they deserved it, and I’m not going to spare OpenAI now.
I’m not exaggerating: Codex usage feels completely out of line right now. I managed to burn through my entire ChatGPT Plus quota in roughly an hour and a bit of GPT-5.6 Sol activity.
That is NOT acceptable. Even accounting for Max reasoning and the higher-speed mode, this is wildly outside what I’ve historically experienced from OpenAI’s limits.
Something here feels wrong, and I really hope their ongoing investigation finds it quickly.
Tibo got community noted after FULLY denying the nerf ever happened and instead blamed users for fraud, but the screenshot of the note went viral anyway
So then he made another follow up post partially admitting it did happen, saying they’re “investigating”
But I suspect he added the word “BANKED resets” so people forget about the gaslighting and normies turbo like the post and make it viral
To maintain the illusion amongst the masses that OpenAI are the good guys who would never do such a thing
Narrative control
TLDR: The cancel mob thinks they've won.
Earlier this year, I got a phone call from legendary Halo composer Marty O'Donnell to ask me if I thought I could get ahold of some old school Xboxes. Like... A LOT of them. Not knowing if I could, I went ahead and said yes.
Since then, we've been planning an epic Halo LAN party.
Couches? Dukes? OG Xboxes? Yes.
A guest list that includes OG Bungie Halo developers? Yes!
Mountain Dew Game Fuel? No. Apparently they don't make that any more.
We secured an amazing venue and had a great plan. The venue staff were all in and understood the vision. They geeked out on the call and asked Marty fan questions.
...until something changed very suddenly.
Somebody got in touch with the venue and they backed out on us over political affiliation and the fact that Marty is running for U.S. Congress in Nevada's 3rd district.
I've got to say, that story sounds a little too familiar to me. All we want to do is play games the way they are intended to be played and celebrate the 25th anniversary of one of the greatest games ever made on as close to original hardware as possible.
Look, I can't even vote for Marty. (I would if I could). I don't even live in his district. But I know that when this event happens (wherever it happens) it is going to be legendary.
