Legacy is thrilled to be a part of this partnership w/ the @MontroseCenter. The Legacy clinic located in the Law Harrington Senior Living Center is our first senior-focused clinic & is open to both the center's residents & the community at large. Congratulations to all involved!
Excellent piece in the @HoustonChron about Legacy's TeenWell program. This program provides teens and young adults with the care, information and resources that they need to take an active role in their current and future health care.

While this news is promising, without a current vaccine the strongest tool in our toolkit for ending HIV is PrEP, which is 99% effective in preventing the spread of the virus when taken as prescribed, per the CDC.

My heart goes out to the family & loved ones of Aidelen Evans of Beaumont. Texas has some of the highest numbers of cases of violence against trans women, especially Black trans women. Legacy offers support to the community at this time & hopes for swift justice for Evans.
This #WorldAIDSDay, I am reminded how far we’ve come – and how far we have yet to go. I and three others impacted by HIV appeared for this piece in the @HoustonChron back in June. We honor those we have lost and continue to fight for those still with us.

Excellent advice from Legacy's vice president of school-based health, Dr. Teandra Gordon: "People must recognize what is within their control and accept what is not . . . Also, avoid catastrophizing."

COVID-19 has created issues with another pandemic – HIV. Here’s one of our leaders in Public Health who describes our organizational shift in response to both pandemics, and there’s some good news about PrEP as well https://t.co/VbwCPKwqNI
After receiving the best socialized health care in the world Trump just said "no" to providing any relief to the unemployed, the uninsured or the hungry. But he's still pushing the Senate to confirm a Supreme Court nominee who will strip health care from 20 million. How pathetic.
Our team here at Legacy reviewed our pregnancy data from the past several months of COVID lockdown and came to a curious conclusion: The baby boom we expected just isn’t happening. Read more in the Chronicle today.

.@peterhotez warns many places are returning to "business as usual."
"I don’t see people with face masks on," he said. "We could have a resurgence — a third peak that’s potentially even worse than the one we just went through this summer." #TribFest20
The increased demand for #mentalhealth services as a result of COVID-19 has underscored the need to integrate behavioral health with primary care. Read insights from Tridiuum’s industry roundtable on the subject. Read more: https://t.co/Fl43PEAhdR
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg fought to the end, through her cancer, with unwavering faith in our democracy and its ideals. That’s how we remember her. But she also left instructions for how she wanted her legacy to be honored. My statement: https://t.co/Wa6YcT5gDi
