@jojogs_official ID: 3003651622 Device Model: SM-G990U2 I was selected for beta testing and downloaded the game from the link in the email as soon as I saw it on the 14th. I finally had the time today (the 16th) to start playing, and it's telling me registration is "unavailable for now" :(

This is the last I will say on AI for a while. Advocates for AI like to claim that it doesn’t matter that it’s not original, or that it remixes ideas, because that’s what humans do. They’re sort of correct here. I don’t believe anything is truly original, we are all inspired by something, and that’s wonderful. I don’t believe originality is where the value lies. We can admit we like remakes, retelling and interpretations. My book is Greek mythology and philosophy inspired. My art is inspired by impressionists and anime. Originality isn’t the point. I believe the value is in authenticity. Is the creator making something that is uniquely their own expression? I consume media and art to connect with people. I love the culture and history of art, music and storytelling. I love learning about how movies were made, why artists paint, why a singer shares pain or joy through lyrics. Even if someone has done something similar before, it doesn’t matter, why did Del Toro choose to adapt Frankenstein again? Because it meant something deeply personal to him. It’s a beautiful homage. It’s that connection from creator to their work that makes it valuable. If it didn’t matter to the creator, it won’t matter to me. And that’s the reality of most AI content. This is why we call it slop, because we know it didn’t matter to the prompter. We all got bored of marvel movies for the same reason. You can tell any passion to make them was long dead and it’s reflected in the process of creation as well as the outcome. We can be honest that some human made commercial work means nothing too. But to create value, it has to be from humans. It needs that connection, the authenticity. Same goes for why I create. I write and draw so I can express myself, I want people to understand me, and the life I’ve had, through my work. My niece drew fanart of @AstroDraws art of one of my book characters. Was it original? No. But she drew it because she liked it. That means it meant something to her. When I saw it, it meant something to me. Could AI create something “better”. Well yeah. More polished sure. But it wouldn’t mean anything to me? No. Because it lacks the thing that’s important. Authenticity. Left is Astros. Right is my Niece. Both mean something to me.

there’s an ancient chinese saying that goes: “locks prevent honorable people, but not scoundrels.” most people are honorable and won’t actively try to put an artists’ work through AI when they say not to / make it harder to, but AI grifters will do everything they can to steal from and hurt artists. the AI mantra may be “it’s too inevitable,” “it’s too late,” “there’s nothing you can do about it” - but in reality, every day, you can choose to try to hurt others or not. finding happiness in life is hard for everyone and I hope you’ll choose to contribute to someone’s joy instead of their pain. I promise it’ll bring you more joy that way. merry christmas
