🎗️Prof. Ruth Halperin-Kaddari: The report published by UN Special Representative on Sexual Violence in Conflict, Ms. Pramila Patten, not only contains sufficient findings to establish the systematic nature of the sexual violence, it provides enough information to determine that the acts of sexual violence committed by Hamas on October 7th constitute crimes against humanity.

Today, the heads of Samidoun – an organization that was banned from Germany for its ties with terrorism – held a recruitment event at @Columbia to get more students to join their calls for violence.
(a long, disturbing, yet important thread)
On Oct. 7th, Hamas engaged in sexual violence.
Prof. @KaddariRuth is working to raise awareness of these atrocities and ensure the world knows the truth.
My thanks to her and @ShamirIdit for meeting with my caucus colleagues and I.
We stand with Israel. Now and forever.
“Come forward, break your silence “
Pramila Patten, @UN Special Representative on Sexual Violence in Conflict in a powerful message to the survivors and the witnesses of Oct 7th massacre.
Thank you, Pramila, for your unwavering commitment to justice and human rights.
Pramila Patten, commenced her visit to #Israel in her capacity as the @endrapeinwar .
The significance of Permila's visit cannot be overstated as it aims to investigate the sexual crimes committed by #Hamas on October 7 and advocate for justice on behalf of the victims.
I’ve watched this a couple of times. It’s no exaggeration to say it’s one of the great speeches of our time. It would be wonderful if it was shown in every school and university. Bravo @RitchieTorres
Important landmark, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Sexual Violence in Conflict, Pramila Patten, will arrive to Israel at the end of the month to review the sexeual crimes committed by #hamas on October 7th.

A message from Michal.
Like all Israeli women, I felt betrayed by the world’s silence after October 7.
For some, the clear brutality of that dark day was not proof enough.
For some, the Hamas vidoes of their barbarity was not proof enough.
For others, the testimony of the survivors and the hostages was still insufficient.
Perhaps the @NYTimes in-depth report will make it clear to them.
Hamas rape. Hamas murder. Hamas kidnap. Hamas must be destroyed.
I pledge to continue fighting, along with many brave women around the world, so that the voices of these heroic women - who suffered so much just for being our sisters - are heard in every corner of the globe.

AJC supports UN SG’s Special Representative on Sexual Violence in Conflict, Pramilla Patten, who today criticized “the horrific reports of sexual violence” committed by Hamas and called “for Hamas to release the remaining hostages, particularly 15 women, immediately and unconditionally.”
We agree with SRSG Patten that “we cannot wait to raise the alarm and declare unequivocally that sexual violence should never, under any circumstances, be used as a tactic of war or terror.” https://t.co/JhgtLraYj3
My interview at the podcast ‘Jen Rubin’s Green Room’ about #hamas horrific attacks against women on Oct 7th, is now available.
Thank you for having me Jen!

Excited to see a determined tweet from HCHR Mr. Volker Turk addressing serious allegations against Hamas, following my recent meeting with him. Women's rights leaders and Special Rep Ms. Pramila Patten also joined forces against gender atrocities. Change is happening!
US Ambassador to the UN @LindaT_G at the Security Council meeting today: “I want to say that it is also critical that the Council hear from academic and civil society briefers, who can speak to the plight of women and girls living under this conflict. And on this point, I’m disappointed that our request to have Dr. Ruth Halperin-Kaddari brief this Council was not accommodated. Dr. Halperin-Kaddari served on the Committee on the Elimination of Violence Against Women for twelve years and has dedicated her life to the cause of ending violence against women. She should have been able to brief the Council today.”
A Jewish lawyer acquired the rights and trademarked the phrase “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free” and can now legally sue any organization or seller who uses it.
