@AcerFur I am very new in both „research level“ math and physics and the optimal way of using ai, so if you have any specific tips/resources to share id greatly appreciate it!
@AcerFur Hey, how do you use the AI when solving problems? Specifically with ChatGPT, do you use the work env? Do you use projects and provide a lot of context, say in form of pdfs, links etc or do you mainly try to state the question and let the ai work? Are good prompts important? TY :)

@onehappyfellow You talking about fourier transform of periodic functions? if not, i would argue that your statement is wrong. The fourier transform on L2(R) has essentially nothing to do with bases/inner products. It can, for example, be defined on much more complicated structures.
@TonyTheLion2500 Being equal is not enough. The functions need to be analytic and they need to be equal not just in a single point but in a small subset of the domain.
Visually this means that they dont just have the same value but instead look identically locally and thereby globally.
@TonyTheLion2500 What exactly do you mean by „you set f(x)=a to check if the limit exists“? I believe you should rephrase the entire sentence because it doesnt make sense to say lim x -> a then f(x)=a. a isnt necessarily the limit that f approaches when x approaches a.
@Rowlandrc @QuoteNietzsche This is in no way close to what Nietzsche meant. He was talking about the idea of a christian god itself not some orthodox or catholic interpretation. He talks about the ideas of the society of the time not the church and its reformation.
