@NicholasD91704@astressedkitty no, you just need to be in a setting where such interaction frames are mutually respected and ask for it. there is no value demo req, only reciprocity, that's one of the the attractions of them
you have friends who host furry parties, put on some dog ears, go to one and be puppy
@birdpathy liability insurance doesn't internalise x-risk for the same reason prediction markets can't estimate it, it's an inherently one-sided bet because the other side won't have the endurance to collect on their insurance
@DieselDoberman@Fly_Norwegian yyyyep, I've also experienced norwegian giving zero shits about their legal responsibilities, i suspect they just bank on it not being worth it to sue them over the amounts involved for most people..
update 3 months later: @Fly_Norwegian is trying to weasel out of their responsibilities under the Montreal convention to pay compensation for damaged bags; have formally raised a complaint to the @UK_CAA PACT
@WildMouseG why is that not just logseg?
it has syncing (hosted if you make a monthly donation to OSC), everything is local markdown files so chat is just an agent in the notes repo.
(the upcoming v2 is sqlite rather than md, but that's also standard and agent-friendly with a light layer)
(the results are obviously nowhere near usable as-is, the file I have has 484 objects and would give a real kicad user an aneurysm, needs a lot of cleaning up, and then figuring out electronics)
(but... damn does it look pretty)
so there's programs that take raster art and vectorise it
and there's programs that take vector art and transform it into kicad pcbs
and it turns out you can just bodge those together into one cursed pipeline and feed it some of your sona art and no-one tries to stop you?
(..though I kinda wish the stage D FoH position had been a bit closer to the stage, it was far enough back that the highs were pretty muted, was running forward and back a bit to hear what it sounded like where people were)
this emf was my first time soundteching a band! (not on my own, supervised by Rex as the lead eng). it's *so frickin much fun* to hear issues and then fix them and hear the fix and know you've fixed it for everyone
my flatmate is doing workplace training. the answers are leaked in whether the `::active` css pseudo-class of each answer's button is red or green
beautiful π no notes
invariant: any larger-than-minimal group of furries will contain every possible type of nerd
the group chat for that mario kart room party three years ago, somehow still active? it contains at least one train nerd, at least one electronics nerd, a linux nerd, a scifi nerd, β¦
so you may as well just use the energy to heat the hot sink directly. but that's wrong! doing the former thing is absurdly more efficient, you can move a good multiple of the energy that you expend.
I know that it works and I know how it works, it just feels so weird
I find heat pumps deeply unintuitive
"you can use energy to transfer heat against a temperature gradient, from a cold sink to a hot sink" intuitively feels to me like it should be pointless. sure, you can do that, but surely you can only move as much energy as you've expended,
furries being cringe is a feature, not a bug. it means our spaces are aversive to the sort of people who prioritise being high social status, which means they (to some extent) self-select out of that space, which is a super useful filter.
