It was also noted that Muslim civil society should move from following global norms to generating new ideas and policies rooted in its own ethical and intellectual heritage.
We also discussed potential areas of cooperation in family policies and international advocacy during the meeting.
We will continue our dialogue to further expand good practices that support women’s empowerment through international collaborations.

During the 70th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (#CSW70), our delegation in New York came together with representatives of Family Watch International and the Sterling Foundation.
We had a comprehensive exchange of ideas on KADEM’s Women Support Centers model and field experience, as well as FWI’s policy advocacy at the United Nations, diplomatic capacity-building efforts and international coalition networks.
The workshop created an important space for awareness regarding both individual and social empowerment processes of women.
We would like to thank all our distinguished guests who honored our iftar invitation.
