Follow @jpapendick for SD sports history daily. Last year on March 18, 2023: The six Aberdeen Christian seniors (Andrew Brennan, @abe_holscher Jackson Isakson, Ethan Russell, Malek Wieker and @kaden_clark7) finished their high school basketball careers with an 85-15 record and four State B appearances (second, third and seventh plus the Covid year when the tourney was cancelled). Plus, coach @MattRohrbach11's team had three 1,000-point plus career scorers in @ethan4russell (1,350 points), @mwieker10 (1,299) and @jisakson_2 (1,255). The three surpassed the 1,000-point milestone within 16 days of each other as Isakson (right in below @sdsportscene @JDavis_ExPhotog Photo) did it on Dec. 28, Russell (center) on Jan. 7 and Wieker (left) on Jan. 13. @ACS_Athletics @GoJacksFB @nsuwolves_mbb @Jamestown_MBB @JimmieAthletics @WolvesAthletics @GoJacksSDSU

Final:
Aberdeen Christian 87
White River 68

Statement win for the Knights! 🙌

[Digital Z South Dakota @DigitalZSD]

End 1: Aberdeen Christian 26, White River 23

Maybe the best offensive quarter I’ve ever seen in person.

Everything is working at the rim for the Knights, while Tigers have relied on some excellent outside shooting.

Joe Sayler leads all scorers w/ 13
