I had the opportunity to play in the 10th Shinkisen USA qualifiers this weekend in LA. Very close battles in the semifinal and final, but took an early lead in the final hanchan and played to defend my placement. Excited to have qualified for the main match in Japan!!!

Played in the Heart of America Riichi Open (HART) this weekend in Kansas City! It was a great event, and despite all the 4ths I got, I was still able to walk away with a custom compass after winning my last hanchan with an ippatsu haneman moving me from 4th to 1st in the hanchan!

Played at the Rochester Riichi Open this past weekend and ended at 13th out of 36. Had a very big +74.9 first day 1, but started day 2 with a 4th and could not reach back to top 4. Still had a fun time playing with everyone! Thanks to the RIT Mahjong Club for hosting this event!

Ended the tournament at 40/156 at 42.6 after 2 firsts, 2 thirds, and a fourth. Definitely played more aggressively to try to make top 25%. End result: 4/2/2/2. Got to do some sightseeing today in the city! Really enjoyed DC this weekend!

At the DC open this weekend, ended day 1 in 41st at +27.5. Had 1 bad fourth, but got 1st/2nd the other hanchans. Need to fight for 1st today for a chance at the top 4 cut (+104.5 rn) 💪

Great event this past weekend at the Oklahoma Riichi Open! Solid first day ending at +89.2 in 6th. 2 lucky 1sts on day 2 got me to first overall at +137.1. After 2 tough hanchans in the final set, ended at +16 in second place! The open riichi rule was a lot of fun to play with!
