@helenbnichols 70s Ontario. Coins were wrapped in wax paper and then later in time in plastic wrap. Vertical slits in the bottom layer, filling, top layer, icing. Mom used a special plate that had a repeating pattern where she could tell where the coins were and where to slice it.

I am saying a prayer for the technicians at Chernobyl tonight. Who went to work three weeks ago and their shift has continued ever since, at Russian gun point.

Their sense of duty overcomes their helpless feelings. And exhaustion creeps in further each day. 1/

That's understandable. Putin tried to launch a Special Operation, but triggered a small victorious war. And nothing is more dangerous for any Russian regime than a defeat in such a war. Historically speaking, Russian regimes usually fell a result of losing small victorious wars

@andie_geer @MartyPawlina @KristinRaworth The number of times I hear male colleagues making choices on a female colleague's behalf because she has kids (or whatever)... And asking another male what to do! Or assuming women all have the same constraints or concerns.

"Why don't you just ask her?" Which I do.

There is active awareness that the person doing research on women's issues in EGG and presenting the work is male.

The other options are to not share the work, or have a woman present it on his behalf. Is that better? Honest question.
