The revelation that DCEs are charging galamseyers thousands of cedis for protection surprises nobody who’s been paying attention. These DCEs aren’t acting alone, they’re operating with the confidence of people who know they’re covered from the top. Those at the Jubilee House are 💯 aware of it. They didn’t send them to fight galamsey, they sent them to cash in on it.

This is what happens when a leader obsessed with power lies his way into office. John Mahama has been nothing but a total failure. The war on galamsey is dead, finished, over and it's killed by the very people who swore to end it.
