If you’re willing to be bold — e.g., close persistenly failing schools and replace them with very different alternatives— you can get better results for kids. Sure, it’s politically fraught to close a school, but change doesn’t come from hoping and wishing.
KIPP St Louis High School entrepreneurs hosting their market day. Amazing businesses, brains, and young leaders. I’m more confident than ever about our city’s future.
We submitted an amicus brief to the United States Supreme Court in partnership with @AFCNewYork, @NJ_ISJ, & @WeAreUnidosUS in support of NY's challenge to the inclusion of a citizenship question into the 2020 Census. https://t.co/2a88Sy6Ae3
STL mom Carmen Ward says her son, Paul, who has autism & intellectual disabilities, has come leaps & bounds & credits his charter school. “KIPP nurtured all of his gifts. They found things in my son that I didn’t know was there – that he didn’t even know was there.”#mogov#moleg
I was saddened to recently see a @MOSchoolLeaders lobbyist refer to Charter Schools as “cancer.”

Young people have helped lead all our great movements. How inspiring to see it again in so many smart, fearless students standing up for their right to be safe; marching and organizing to remake the world as it should be. We've been waiting for you. And we've got your backs.
You have to love what you do and do what you love. College is the place to figure exactly what that passion is. #ToandThrough@KIPP https://t.co/gLLmWWDiD0
If Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was preaching today, he would be speaking the idea that we are one people, one family, one house—the American house and the world house—that we must learn to live together as brothers and sisters, if not we will perish as fools.
"Injustice must be exposed, with all the tension its exposure creates, to the light of human conscience and the air of national opinion before it can be cured." Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Letter From A Birmingham Jail. #MLKDay https://t.co/uKQSE01rtk
